West Ridge Students
Awaken is the student ministry of West Ridge Church, serving students from 6th through 12th grade.
A Place to Belong & to Grow in Faith
At Awaken, we want your student to know they matter to God and that they belong. When we do this for every student, we believe we’ll see an entire generation come alive through relationship with Jesus, grow in a life consumed by faith and compassion, and be equipped to make disciples.
Every Wednesday Night @ 6:30 PM
Doors open at 6 pm, service runs 6:30 – 8:30 pm, and pickup is from 8:30 – 9 pm. Join us at our youth center located at 220 W. Allegheny Rd, Imperial, PA 15126.
What to Expect at Awaken
During Wednesday night service, students spend time worshipping, praying, hearing the Bible taught, and meeting in small groups. It’s all about learning how to express and explore their love for God, while building meaningful relationships with their peers. Doors open early so students can connect with friends—old and new.
Special Events
Throughout the year, Awaken will host special events that give your students more opportunities to build their faith and their relationships. For any upcoming student events, check out our events page.
Called to Serve
The best way for your student to love God and love people is found in serving others. We encourage students of all ages to join one of our many serve teams. To get started, check out our serving page.

Safety is Our Highest Priority
Our Check-In Process
As soon as your student enters the youth center, they’ll be able to check themselves into service. This ensures that we have a record of them entering the facility. Students will only be dismissed to leave when service ends at 9 pm. Also, if it’s your student’s first time with us, let us know. Our volunteers are happy to assist them during check in and show them around.
Our Leaders
All of our adult leaders have received full clearances from the state of Pennsylvania. They’re also required to go through a thorough screening process, as well as emergency evacuation training.
Have Other Questions?
What’s the registration and check-in process like?
When entering the youth center, your student will be able to go through a self-check-in process. This will provide a confirmation of attendance, which can be used in the event of an emergency or when a roster is needed.
What clearances do your youth leaders have?
All leaders and volunteers need to provide clearances including FBI fingerprint record check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal record check, and Child Abuse Identification and Reporting Training.
Do you have any other safety measures in place?
The youth center is equipped with a state-of-the-art security system. This includes magnetic door locks, 20 security cameras, and a leader in place as security during all services and events.
What happens if my student needs me during service?
In the event of an emergency or any other situation that requires discussion, our youth leaders will use the computer database to get in touch with your student’s approved emergency contact.
What happens if my student is sick or needs medication?
It’s very important that your student accurately shares their specific medical needs or required accommodations when filling out our first-time guest information. Once we have that information, we’ll speak with you directly to determine how we can best care for your student while they’re with us. Please know, we respect your privacy and will treat all medical information with the upmost confidentiality.
What if my student is having a tough time connecting?
Our youth leaders are aware of the importance of social wellness and positive interactions. During first-time check in, a leader will introduce your student to their dedicated small group leader and provide a tour of the facility. If a student is uncomfortable with socializing at first, there’s never any pressure to participate in group activities. They can also get connected with peer mentors from their small group if there’s a need for more support.
